Professional Therapy
Are you struggling with issues related to pain, sleep, stress, psychological impacts of chronic illness, trauma, anxiety or major life changes? There comes a time when we might need some help from a professional to help cope with many of life’s challenges.
I’m a HCPC Registered Practitioner Psychologist (Health Psychologist) and Chartered Psychologist in Norfolk, and I’d love to help you on your journey towards feeling better about yourself, behaviour change, lifestyle modification and self-discovery.
Life can be overwhelming and sometimes exhausting, but I can help to guide you to find ways to change behaviours relating to any life obstacles you may face. My goal is to help you understand your experience and better cope with change or illness impacts by exploring psychological and behavioural management skills and coping strategies.
About Therapy
According to the American Psychological Association, “Psychologists help people of all ages live happier, healthier and more productive lives.”
Through the use of CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy) and behaviour change techniques, my patients develop life-changing behaviours and psychological strategies to help them cope with life’s various obstacles.
My therapy sessions are designed to dissect personal issues or challenges and provide patients with effective tools to help them learn how to live with and manage illness, pain, sleep deprivation, anxiety or other life challenges.
“Behaviour is the end result of a prevailing story in one's mind: change the story and the behaviour will change.”

I offer psychological and behavioural assessments before therapy begins. This helps us build a clear understanding of your experiences and identify the most appropriate approach for your needs.

I offer individual and group therapy for a range of psychological and behavioural difficulties. Sessions are tailored to your needs and can support a variety of challenges and life experiences.
Supervision and Educational Workshops

How It Works
Step 1: Get In Touch
Start by getting in touch to find out more about therapy or to ask any questions you may have. Complete the contact form, send an email, or enquire via Psychology Today.
We’ll discuss your needs and whether the service is likely to be a good fit, usually via email and occasionally through a brief phone conversation.
Step 2: Initial Assessment & Therapy Plan
We’ll meet for a comprehensive initial assessment to explore your concerns, experiences, and goals.
Where appropriate, questionnaires may be used during the session to help build a better understanding of you.
Together, we’ll discuss a recommended therapeutic approach and answer any questions you may have. Then we’ll use this information to create a personalised therapy plan that can be adapted as your needs change.
Step 3: Beginning Therapy & Ongoing Support
If you decide to move forward, we’ll arrange ongoing therapy sessions. Therapy usually takes place every fortnight, although the frequency can be adjusted to suit your needs.
While working together, we’ll review your progress, adapt the approach where needed, and use between-session activities where appropriate to support your progress.
Some people benefit from a shorter course of therapy, while others choose longer-term support, depending on their individual goals and circumstances. Completely up to you.

Therapy Referrals
I work with clients who have been referred both privately or through an insurance company. Here’s a little bit of information about how it works.
Insurance
You may first need a referral from your GP or a psychiatrist, depending on your insurance provider’s requirements. You don’t always need a referral, so it’s worth checking with your insurance provider.
Once you have a referral, contact your insurance company to confirm coverage for psychological therapy. They will provide you with an authorisation code.
Your insurance policy may only cover therapy up to a certain amount, so make sure you’re aware of any session limits and excess contributions your policy may require.
Please also provide your membership number and the authorisation code when booking your therapy sessions so that I can use these when invoicing for payment.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Below you’ll find answers to some common questions.
Why might I need to see a psychologist?
Seeing a psychologist can offer you a confidential and safe space to explore and work through thoughts and feelings without judgement. Therapy can help a person to understand their emotions and to develop coping strategies to manage challenges that they face, whether they are health challenges or more general life challenges.
What is involved in an initial assessment?
An initial assessment is carried out before therapy sessions begin. Initial assessments usually last around 60-90 minutes and provide the opportunity for you to share, discuss and explore your history, ideas and concerns about what is challenging you, as well as thinking about what your goals for therapy may look like and what you hope to achieve from the process. A flexible and collaborative therapeutic plan is then developed that will be delivered in therapy sessions following the Initial Assessment.
What will I talk about in a therapy session?
In therapy sessions you can discuss anything on your mind and anything that is causing you distress or challenge. This may range from stressful situations, emotional impacts of a health condition, behavioural challenges, difficult emotions and life changes, as well as many more. You will not be forced to share anything you are uncomfortable sharing; essentially you decide the information that you would like to share and discuss.
How long does therapy last?
Therapy sessions last for 50-60 minutes in duration. Depending on concerns and goals, different clients require therapy for different amounts of time. For example, one client may have therapy and develop several effective behavioural and coping strategies after 10 sessions of therapy, another may have more complex challenges and may require 18 sessions to achieve their therapeutic goals. We all have very different health and illness experiences that are unique to us, so there is not a ‘one-size fits all’ approach.
How often will I need a therapy session?
There is no requirement to have therapy at the same time in the same slot every week, as many people have busy lives and each week for them may look very different. However, this is an option for those who prefer to have a weekly routine with the same appointment time each week.
Most clients have a therapy session every 2 weeks, as it allows time to complete any between-session work (homework) and to reflect on the session. Due to family, time or financial reasons, some clients choose to have a session less frequently, such as every 3 weeks for example.
Are therapy sessions online or face to face?
Therapy sessions can be taken online or face to face in my private therapy space in Norwich; it is your choice.
What are the benefits of therapy?
Therapy can bring a great range of benefits, including improved emotional wellbeing, enhanced self-belief and self-awareness, improved ability to be able to manage and ‘cope’ with challenges that may arise, improved health behaviours, personal growth and healthier relationships.
Who can access therapy through Rejig Solutions?
We take direct private referrals from individuals or organisations as well as referrals from insurers.
